Time Flies!
Soggiest, greyest Spring ever! rain and more rain, really need to see some sun. Snow has all melted as of a couple weeks ago, but straight to black flies & ticks!! We have so many ticks, never before last year have I seen so many. Need to put down more diatamaceous earth and cedar chips closer to the house. Little bastards, hate using poisons, but hate tickborne diseases more. Looking at options like Seresto collars, uggghhhh....
Climate change doesn't exist???!!! Hello, watching these evil creatures climb on me and the dogs, yes, yes it does exist! Last year was first Lyme/Anaplasmosis+ for a couple of the dogs too (in years) meh...ok will stop whining...I love Sundays, and Sunday mornings. After some recent work craziness, my peace has returned, very grateful for that. Lots of outdoor projects to do!!! and Flowers ππ, new Lilies to plant.
Pups are thriving and running and climbing stairs and wagging tails and problem solving. 5 weeks tomorrow, they are a calm but keen bunch. REALLY happy with this cross so far.
Kestrel is weaning them, which is her right-so I am working my butt off now. :)
Feeding them, cleaning...oh the cleaning, carrying them outside first thing in AM to "GO" when too small for stairs yet, doing little one on one sessions with each to start the process of learning to learn, integrating slowly into the Big Dog Village (who are so gentle with them) for extending their canine social repetoire. They are a wonderful bunch!!! A VERY Bright spot, in a grey Spring.
It is going to be hard to choose. There are two that have chosen me, hard to ignore that. One is pretty confident they are the one staying. Things start to go in fast forward around now, lots of visitors, have to get to BAER hearing appts, regular Vet check-ups, field trips starting this week for environmental variety and getting used to the car, etc. As they hit 7 weeks, deciding on who stays and who is a good match for the homes waiting is fun, but stressful. My "list" is organic, I always figure the puppy calls the right person to them and so nothing set in stone yet. Might have a pup available after some changes in the "list" or maybe not...maybe I will keep 2!!! ⇨ππΈπ₯π£π
