Seeking Active Pet Home for BC
If your dogs live in your home (not a kennel), like mine do, sometimes there is a point where the peaceful dynamics of a group, outweigh the one. Each has their space, but sometimes decisions for the greater good have to be made.
With our move, She has not transitioned well to living in a smaller home and has become very "herdy" with some of the other dogs (females) who are trying to avoid conflict-to the point friction has escalated, luckily not to aggression. This is causing stress for us all. I don't believe a dog should have to spend endless time crated for management, but here we are. I think she deserves more.
She is chill in the house after a good daily hike, game of ball or frisbee and will self-soothe chewing a bone or playing with toys. She is affectionate but not extra needy, or in your face constantly. She does like to go for car rides (I always crate) and really craves to be someone's focus.
She actually a pretty easy keeper, but does have some of the typical quirky Border Collie traits. She takes a natural/herbal supplement daily to help her chill out. RxMeds were used in previous home and they made things worse. More mental variety and stimulation can also help, she's a nosework candidate or low pressure hobby dogsports partner for sure. Likes to swim, easy care smooth coat, small-medium size(under 30#).
Mostly just want to find a person who will love her, give her a soft place to land and that will patiently let her adjust-to let her shine and bond. Serious inquiries only please. Current on Rabies, HWT prevention etc, nominal adoption fee.
FMI both positive and negative
